Welcome
to Nazaaray Estate Winery
We have a love affair with Pinot Noir and one if its clones - Pinot Gris.
Pinot Noir is one of the most temperamental and beguiling grape varieties from which to make wine. And without doubt it is one of the most interesting wines to drink because it so reflects the terroir in which it is grown and made. Since our first wine made in 2001 we have seen our Pinots evolve and develop in character from a fruitier style to a spicier spectrum. Our attempt is to make wines in the classic Burgundian style. Our Pinot Noir Reserve 2008 is the only young Mornington Pinot Noir to have won a medal at the International Wine Competition 2010 in London.
Our Pinot Gris has consistently won top honours in its class at wine shows. It shows the typical Mornington characters of pear and hints of musk. The natural acidity of our grapes at picking is high, due largely to our exposed site close to the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula. The Pinot Gris was highly commended at the prestigious International Wine Competition 2010 in London.
Our wines are created with pure
passion at the smallest and southern-most
vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula
- one of Australia’s premier cool
climate wine regions in Australia.
